Panacea 85 Ltd uses artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support internal productivity, analysis, and drafting activities across scientific, operational, and technical workflows. AI is used as a decision-support technology to enhance efficiency and consistency, not as a replacement for expert human judgment.
Panacea does not train, fine-tune, or adapt AI models using client, sponsor, or patient data.
AI tools are accessed through controlled environments that operate under contractual and technical safeguards to ensure that customer data is not used for model training and is not retained beyond the scope of the service.
We apply principles of data minimisation and, where appropriate, use anonymised or aggregated information. Identifiable patient data is not entered into AI systems.
Given the sensitive nature of our work, AI systems are not provided with unrestricted access to confidential or personal data.
AI tools are accessed within secure environments with appropriate access controls in place. Access to AI tools is restricted based on role and business need. Their use is governed by internal policies designed to protect confidentiality, intellectual property, and data integrity.
All AI-assisted outputs are subject to human oversight. AI systems are not relied upon to independently generate final scientific, regulatory, or client-facing conclusions. Responsibility and accountability for all deliverables remain with Panacea’s qualified experts.
Use of AI tools is subject to monitoring and periodic review to ensure ongoing compliance with internal policies and client requirements.
Panacea’s approach to AI use is aligned with applicable data protection requirements, including GDPR, and evolving expectations under the EU Artificial Intelligence Act.
We are committed to transparency and are happy to provide further information regarding our AI governance and data protection practices as part of client due diligence or regulatory review.
